Our ‘Water and Development Aid’ projects support rural communities in several African countries, including Uganda, Togo, Cameroon, Malawi, and Tanzania, as well as other regions where access to safe drinking water remains limited.
Every water well we build follows a carefully planned process designed to provide communities with reliable access to clean water for years to come.
Working with trusted local partners, we identify communities where access to clean water is most urgently needed.
Before construction begins, our teams carry out site assessments, technical studies, and obtain the necessary local permits and approvals.
Once planning is complete, construction begins using the most appropriate solution for the local conditions and community needs.
Before the well is handed over, the water is tested to help ensure it is safe for drinking.

We build water wells in several African countries, such as Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Cameroon, Chad, Nigeria, Malawi, and Tanzania, where communities lack reliable access to clean drinking water.
Our local teams identify communities with the greatest need and build water wells where they can have the greatest long-term impact.
The cost of building a water well in Africa typically ranges from 1,900£ to 7,500£, depending on the size and type of well, its location, groundwater depth, and the technical requirements of the project.
Every donation helps fund water wells in Africa, allowing us to build the most appropriate solution for each community’s needs.
Besides contributing to the construction of water wells in Africa, you can sponsor a well in your own name or as a dedication, with a plaque included. You can donate to a community well, where your gift is pooled with others to fund water projects as needed. Or you can start a fundraiser and invite friends, family, and colleagues to donate together toward a well.

Yes. Every water well undergoes water quality testing before it is handed over to the community.
Before handover, community members receive practical training on operating, maintaining, and protecting the well. This enables local ownership and long-term maintenance.
Yes. Donations are tax-deductible in Switzerland according to your canton’s regulations, and donors automatically receive a donation certificate at the end of the year.
This project is funded through donations to the ‘Water and Development Aid’ project area.
In addition to the above project, your donation will support the commitment of the entire project area. It will be used where it has the greatest impact.
