Step 3 — Technical planning: Our local teams assess the site, complete technical studies, and obtain all required permits before digging begins.
Step 4 — Digging the Well: Once planning is finished, our team begins digging. Building a water well typically takes 3 to 6 months. For wells built in Africa, we will share photos and videos of the process with you as the project moves forward.
Step 5 — Water quality testing: Before anyone uses the well, we test the water to ensure it is safe for the community. We then install your personalised plaque on the finished well.
Step 6 — Handover to the community: The finished well is handed over to the community, providing safe water for drinking, cooking, and daily life.

Yes. Once you select the type of well you would like to sponsor, our team will follow up with more details, including the cost, before you are asked to confirm anything.
Yes, if you fully sponsor a well on your own. Solo sponsorship lets you name the well after yourself or dedicate it in memory of someone you love, with a plaque installed once construction is complete.
Most donors choose their own name, a family name, a short dedication, or wording such as “In Loving Memory of…” or “Gifted by…”. We will confirm the wording with you before production.
