Afghanistan is suffering like never before. 22 million people are currently hungry, and countless lives are at risk. Children are dying daily from a lack of food, and 1 million children under the age of five could die from malnutrition over the next three months.

In Afghanistan, currently 8 million people are on the brink of famine as a result of the worst famine the country has seen in the last 27 years combined with political instability and change, decades of conflict and Covid-19. Things will be even more life-threatening for millions in Afghanistan this winter, as temperatures plummet and families struggle to stay warm and protected.
